'You Box'

Okay, so about 6 months back I discovered the site LatestInBeauty, which allowed you to subscribe to  boxes (not monthly, but every so often), that were 'themed'. The thing that actually convinced me to order these boxes was the fact that you could see exactly what you were ordering. Yes, I know this takes away the element of "surprise" you get with such boxes like JolieBox and GlossyBox, but I dunno, I kinda prefer knowing what  I'm going to get in my box, and the fact that it's themed totally ticks all the boxes.

Anyways, this box was a more "you" kinda themed box, which had products which helped with rejuvenation, clear skin etc, basically the concept was more "cleared you, a new you" kinda thing. Which I would've thought would've been brought out in January. But that was more a detox box..

I'm not going to go into full detail  doing a review, because I'm still waiting on my JolieBox to arrive(!) so a review will be done for that, but take a look at the piccies below. It's relatively inexpensive, alot cheaper than monthly beauty boxes dolls.

Lifting to lid : Joliebox May 2012

So, after much contemplation, I finally decided to sign up to the latest trend of "beauty boxes". The concept? Simple. £10-£12 per month, five exclusive beauty samples sent directly to your door to try out. Every girls dream right?

I was leaning towards Joliebox over Glossybox and all those other beauty boxes out there after reading a few reviews by fellow Beauty Bloggers, so let me talk you through the first box I received from them.

First things first, all the samples are placed in a cute little drawstring bag - which in my opinion already diversifies Joliebox over the other beauty boxes out there. Usually, you'd receive the Joliemag, Menu for the month, and, obviously, the samples, which can range from full size to your normal sample size products.

Essential Care : Organic Rose Moisturiser
This antioxidant light textured daily moisturiser leaves skin feeling velvety. It's made with a mix of shea butter (which I totally love!), jojoba oil, coconut oil and aloe leaf. After using this just once, I noticed a major difference, my skin felt rehydrated, and the smell was a plus too.

15ml - £7.50

Talika: Eye Therapy Patch
Joliebox kinda gave a choice as to which one you'd receive. Well I use the term choice lightly, as it was dependant on what box was delivered to you. You'd either receive this or the Lipocils Expert by Talika (which was an eyelash growth product). I received the patch - which was perfect for my as I really dont think my eyelashes need any sort of growth treatment on them at the moment..they're long enough! Right so I was a bit sceptical of what this patch claimed to do; remove dark circles, eye bags and smooth out wrinkles. The latter not bothering me too much as I'm only twenty years young! So, I'm still a bit wary of what this product offers, I'm sure i'll get around to actually trying it though..

A light emulsion Make up base by Rmk, which supposedly works on any skin type. What first stood out to me was how cute the bottle it came in was. Just a simple rectangular shaped bottle, but simple is  always better, in my opinion. Anyways, its a base which is used initially before applying foundation to help moisturise and add a smooth texture to the skin. Something which I am definitely happy about having received!

15ml - £14.00

China Glaze - Gothic Lolita
Personally I Love Love Love China Glaze Nail lacquers. Not only does the colour last and is pretty much chip resistant, it comes it a nail hardener inside the colour solution. So it works as a two in one if your nails are prone to being weak etc. And I totallly love this colour!

Overall mixed opinions about this months Joliebox, I'll have to wait until next months Birthday special box to see if I continue the subscription.
